Celebrate the Season at Oregon’s Annual Candlelight Walk
Oregon’s 38th annual Candlelight Walk takes place on Saturday, November 30, from 3-8 p.m. What began thirty-eight years ago as a collaborative effort by merchants in Oregon’s Conover Square Mall has grown into one of Illinois’s most beloved small-town holiday events. This cherished celebration now extends throughout the entire community, bringing together residents and visitors to share in the festive spirit.
Over the years, family-friendly activities have been added to enhance the experience. Conover Square remains a cornerstone of the tradition, offering special entertainment, guest performances, and holiday treats. Attendees are invited to explore local Oregon businesses, participate in the community tree-lighting ceremony, enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides, local entertainment, and delight in Candy Cane Lane’s special treats.
Additional attractions include the Holiday Gift Fair, the Sip and Shop experience at The River’s Edge, and a visit with Santa at the Kid’s Winter Carnival at the United Methodist Church. Visitors can also register with local Red Bow merchants for a chance to win exciting prizes.
