Enjoy a day of family fun at Hopkins Park as we celebrate our nation’s independence!
So many fun activities are planned for the 4th of July celebration! Join us for a full day of family fun at Hopkins Park as we celebrate our nation's independence, brought to you in cooperation with the City of DeKalb. The festivities begin with the Independence Day Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. (register here). Starting at 4:00 p.m., enjoy a free animal show, games, activities, and strolling entertainment. Food vendors will be available from 4:00 p.m. through the fireworks show. Live music includes Final Say from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., followed by DJ Behind the Beats from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m., and a DeKalb Municipal Band concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. The evening wraps up with a spectacular fireworks show about 30 minutes after sunset.
