Paw Prints: Artworks of Animals Exhibition

Museum Hours: Wednesday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

From the tiniest insect to towering mythological beasts, Paw Prints celebrates the animal kingdom in all its wild, whimsical, and imaginative forms. This group exhibition at CMAAA features work by regional artists who have interpreted the theme through a wide variety of species—real and imagined, tame and untamed. The exhibit includes mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates across multiple artistic mediums.

Art reception held on Aug. 8

A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, August 8, from 6 to 8 p.m., where visitors can meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and help choose the People’s Choice winner.

Exhibit awards will be juried by accomplished Illinois artist Carol Bingham, known for her nature-inspired oil paintings and mixed media works. Bingham earned her BFA in Illustration from NIU and has received numerous awards for her expressive, layered style.

Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
