The Rock River Chase returns to Rock Falls, Illinois, Aug. 15–16, 2026, bringing the excitement of stock outboard boat racing back to the Rock River at Seward’s Park. This longtime summer tradition features high-speed racing action as drivers from across the region compete on the water in a family-friendly atmosphere along the riverfront.
Visitors can spend the weekend watching the races from the shoreline while enjoying food vendors, concessions, and the energetic atmosphere that has made the Rock River Chase a favorite local event for decades. Racing activities are scheduled for both Saturday, Aug. 15, and Sunday, Aug. 16, with testing taking place Thursday, Aug. 14.
Held along the scenic Rock River in Rock Falls, the event offers a fun summer weekend for racing fans, families, and anyone looking for classic river-town entertainment in Northwest Illinois.
